Friends Romans countrymen lend me your beers. I know that I traded with Bootyarcade for several months and I had a hard coded banner on my site and 2 or 3 plugs all rotated up top in what others are playing automated throughout the day but my referrals script only tracked 230 or so visits from bootyarcade in like 4 - 5 Months. I agree there is some garbage traffic happening in this industry but all I want is just a fair trade and it would help everyone. I don't know how to get guys to network and see this in arcades but I come from a background of online trading and network marketing.

Basically if you have 100 uniques a day there are 100 guys looking at your ads that might click. Now if you could get a REAL honest trade of 1:1 then you would have 200 uniques or 200 guys looking at your ads everyday. Not much you say? Well if a click cost you 5 cents each then you are saving $5.00/ day or $150 a month on advertising ( trade 1000 a day and that is $1500 a month ). The math works and there are scripts to automate this ( mostly developed in the pron industry ) but everyone is scared to send out traffic to competition. You know what if those 100 guys don't click on your site why not give the competition a shot if he will give you 100 of his guys. The only way this does not work is when guys ruin it by cheating or forget to trade with even the little guys because they were once a little guy also.

Me I run a site called www.gubug.com and I got a few good honest guys trading with me they are not the biggest but together we help each other. Anyone want to do EQUALLY Beneficial trades PM me including bootyarcade. However pointing fingers in a public forum and all that is the type of internet scene I just don't get into. Yes the banner exchange traffic is down sharply and to be honest I have noticed it for some time and not just on arcadebanners. The guys who most look at ( including me when I started) that can not deliver the astonishing 4 - 5% CTR are really delivering better quality traffic. We also Modded our script to see how many guys signup and then play games as apposed to random signups who never play a game. I saw that spread decrease when I stopped purchasing banner exchange traffic all together. Also when Frodaddy pointed out how guys blowup their game plays we fixed that and this is the only way to get REAL data so you can see how effective your advertising is and so potential partners can see untainted numbers to work with. That is just my 2 cents about so called Garbage traffic. All you guys helped me out a lot 7 months ago especially mibbi taken time out for private chats and Piczo and Frodaddy too lets just work together and get the industry growing again. Big corp is coming along and buying up small arcades like blockbuster did to mom and pop video stores ( for the same reason ) the mom and pops could not network.
